Original Arbians - Page W3: BAGDAD O A was a grey Shueyman stallion He was the sire (at Jarczowce Stud - Poland) of the mare BONA I 1860 (x PERKULA ~1850), the mare KITKA 1860 (x SAHARA SLEPKA O A 1845), the grey stallion PIELGRZYM 1851 (x GAZELLA O A ~1840), the stallion DZARMID ~1853 (x Unknown), the mare MARUCHA ~1867 (x Unknown) and of the stallion PRESS-PAPIER ~1854 (Unknown damline) One story goes that young Count Juliusz Dzieduszycki (Jarczowce Stud - Poland) met an Arab traveller in Kiev (Russia) mounted on a superb stallion. Before long they had changed places, the Arabian continued his journey in the coach-and-four of the Count with a bag of gold ducats and a silver-mounted whip thrown in for good measure while the Count continued his journey mounted on the stallion.
