Chief sire in Poland for 17 years, where he sired 3 Derby winners and 10 Polish National Champions. Sired 264 registered purebreds.

In 1982 he was imported to the US by Ventura Farms, California. At Ventura he had a daily schedule, strictly adhered to; first turned out in the morning, then a trail ride over Ventura hills, a bath, and then to the covering shed up to three times a day, all his mares were bred naturally there.
Bandos died in September 1987.
Arabian Horse World June 1988, pg 304, features an article about this famous horse.
