Bred by Janów Podlaski, Poland. Foaled in 1942 during the German occupation of the stud. Exceptional producer.
Carmen was one of the most valuable Polish broodmatrons and from the famed family of Gazella. Carmen was the dam of fabulous Comet (1953) and Kirkor (1961); exported to Canada.
Carmen also produced six esteemed broodmares, including Carmencita (1949) - exported to Great Britain, Kassala (1952), Canberra (1954), Chimena (1956), Carocha (1958) and Cumparsita (1960) - exported to the USA. Died 1962.
