From the stud of Prince Ahmad Pasha Kamal. Purchased from her breeder by Muhammad Pasha Abu Naffi, and presented by him to Prince Mohamed Aly\'s Manial Stud in December, 1912. [Alternate spellings: Dounia, Dunya]
NOTES: The above information (except for the birthdate, which is an Al Khamsa estimate) is from an early handwritten herd book of Prince Mohamed Aly.
The RAS History has no entry for Donia or Nafaa El Kebira. Nafaa El Saghira is said to have been bred by Prince Yusuf Pasha Kemal, and obtained by the RAS in 1915 from the estate of \"Mohamed Abu Nafie Pasha.\" No parents or date are shown, and the substrain is said to be Nuwaq, although the substrain is later said to be Mimrihiyah. Raswan Index corrections entries #518 and #1181 show Donia as a Kuhaylah Mimrihiyah of the strain of Ibn Muwayni of the Saba\'ah.
According to the el masri database, she was born ca. 1890 and presented to Ahmed Pasha Kamal, date unknown.
