|That's subjective. I think its just good manners if a post has stopped being active for months or a year to start a new thread. Revive the topic so that readers now can address the topic. More often than not the posters from the old thread aren't even around anymore, and responding to someone's comment or question specifically falls flat. I have never seen the purpose of responding to a comment made by someone 9 months ago, in a thread which was finished. Nothing wrong with saying in a NEW thread, "Gee, 9 months ago there was a thread about such and such and so and so said this and I was thinking about that and want to revive the topic. I think the old thread was called "Wanting the foal to be born NOW!", and I had an experience with ....etc."
Doesn't that make more sense?
I consider it bad manners to revive an old topic only to read through the posts and find out I am talking to people from a year or two ago who isn't having a conversation with me. Please try not to do this.
