GOLDEN GOVERNOR pal. H, MISSOURI FOX TROTTER, 1943
| Color: pal
#F-107
MFTHBA F-107 1959 World champion Senior Stud. Sired Curly coated foals. Palomino stallion sired by Ozark Golden King by Old Fox. His dam was Betty Fox by Deacon by Rex Shepherd. He was Saddlebred by blood. This stallion is perhaps the closest to being the foundation sire for the Missouri Foxtrotter breed as any could be. During the early years of the registry he sired a full 30% of the foals registered with the breed and was responsible for siring the majority of stallions used for the first two decades of the registry. He was used to work in the stock yards, did ranch work, worked as a pick up horse in the rodeos and did a little showing successfully. He was a well beloved sire and revered decades after he had gone to rest. He was owned by Dale Esther of Lebanon, MI The first horse inducted into the MFTHBA Hall of Fame.
