Sire Line Conyers Arabian. Bred at Hampton Court he covered at Burn Park near Beverley for a fee of two guineas. [[He sired Appleyard's Craftsman (gr c 1724), Appleyard's Favourite (gr c 1730) and Gallant's Young Smiling Tom (gr c 1724). The General Stud Book has confused his year of birth and pedigree with that of his son, Young Smiling Tom, who also ran as Gallant's Smiling Tom.
