Bred by Mr Swinburne in England. Imported to USA by James DeLancey in 1763-64 owned there by Colonel Joseph Sim in Maryland and James DeLancey in New York; taken back to England In 1773. He was purchased by Edward Leedes of North Milford and returned to Yorkshire. Most of his known offspring were foaled after his return to England, including his son Tommy (ch c 1776) who won the St Leger Stakes. His stock proved excellent and were long in high repute.
