Before he made a name for himself as a breeding sire, Burnus proved himself during his four years at the eventing barn of the German Olympic Committee in Warendorf, Germany, where Dr. Reiner Klimke, then a member of the national three-day event team, became his rider. In breeding 1956-1958 Rantzau, 1959-1969 various stations, 1962-1965 Vogelsangshof/G.Hoogen, 1970 H.Peeck. Died 1977.
