Daughter of the great Apache: Apache was chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail, blaze and stockings, blanket & spots. His breeder was Orvil C. Sears, Sr., Elba, ID.
He was one of the first two horses inducted into the ApHC Hall of Fame 1986 and was a 7 time National Champion.
Apache was named by The Horse Digest as 1 of the top 100 race horses of all time, in any breed. He smoked down the track like a brush fire and could run on mud or dirt. He won 16 of 19 race starts. After racing he was brought into the performance arena and won either a Champion or Reserve Champion Performance Horse title in each of the five National Shows he competed in.
His legacy continues on in both the racing and performance arenas, with multiple World and National Champion descendants.
