Was brutally killed in a match against time, from New York to Philadelphia, in ten hours, one of the hottest days of July, 1837. The Horse [1845],p56, states trotted above ~84½ miles in 8h.30m. No whip was used and lost due to being poorly cooled (pail of water dumped on)
