Daniel was the first foal out of Nebo Princess Ann. His future success could be visualised from his early days. He would spend endless hours trotting around the paddock in great style well away from his dam.
He started his showing career as a foal but came to the limelight as a yearling. His bright chestnut colour and four white socks along with his breathtaking action took the eye of most judges. He was shown with great success both in England and Wales until he was retired in 1990 after winning the Supreme Champion at the Lampeter Stallion Show. He left his career in the showring at the young age of 14 years, Daniel was always a nervous showman, never liked the preparations at home, but once at the show he really excelled in every way. This was the reason why we decided to retire him bearing in mind, that he had been champion at most of the county shows. In 1988 he won the George Prince of Wales Trophy for the Champion Welsh Cob at the Royal Welsh. He was male champion in 1986 and 1989 also. In 1987 he was Supreme Champion at the Three Counties Show, Malvern. He represented the show at the Horse of the Year Show in the Lloyds in hand champion. He has also won the WPCS sire ratings on several occasions. These are only a very few of his great successes.
Along with his great showing success he is also a terrific stockgetter, producing mares and stallions of greatest calibre. Some of his notable progeny include, Nebo Prince, Nebo Victoria, Northleach Daniele, Tewgoed Mari, Tewgoed Janet. Also Tynybryn Miss Poppedyn Supreme, Champion at the 1999 Danish Grading Show. Daniel along with his sire Nebo Brenin are also great producers of Section C\\\'s. Some of his Progeny are Nebo Rachel and Neuaddparc Welsh Maid. Supreme Champion at the Lampeter Stallion Show.
Sadly Daniel died in 2005 and will be sadly missed by all that new him.
