Founder of the Hal family. Purchased in Philadelphia about 1824 and identified as Canadian. Went to Kentucky where he was known as: Mason`s, Boswell`s, West`s, and Shropshire`s Hal. Registered Saddlebred although he had some influence on other breeds such as the Tennessee Walking Horse and Morgan.
