Winks Jangles looked like a miniature Saddlebred: very correct, with a very long upright neck, and lots of trot. William Winelman bred his horses from Shetland lines, and Jangles was quite different from most of the miniatures Judith had seen at the time. His dam was a daughter of Showdeo Kid, by the great Hillswicke Oracle, the top sire of halter and driving ponies in the nation in the early 1960\\\\\\\'s. The Winks horses, although outstanding, have not gained the popularity of the Gold Melody Boy horses, or some of the other well-known bloodlines, mainly because there are so few of them.
