Bred by Mr Phillip Davies, Llandilo, Camarthenshire.(- Late Mr P Davies in Welsh Stud registry). 1931 sold with load of cattle LLandilo Market - bought by Frank Castle, Oxfordshire dealer. 1931 Mrs Pennell spotted Goldflake in Mr Castle’s field - promptly purchased her for Ł35. 1934 Now Bwlch Goldflake - Champion Royal Show - won Belvoir Cup, Horse of the Year Show, Olympia. Her dam Cigarette was well known racing pony South Wales. Her grand dam Sigorette was from Thoroughbred line tracing back to St.Simon & good race horses. Died 1951.
