In July 1901 he was sold by Mr. Fleischmann to Mr. Vanderbilt for a reported $25,000-$30,000, and sent immediately to France. Stood at Haras de Villebon through 1905. Mr. Vanderbilt donated him to the New York Breeding Bureau and he returned to USA in September 1906. (Apparently covered only one mare in France that year.)
