A gray Arabian stallion born in 1793, passed away in 1831 at age 38. Named after the battle of Marengo in 1800, he carried his master, Emperor Napoleon I, into war. Marengo's skeleton was displayed at the Royal United Services Institute, established by Wellington in 1831. It moved to the National Army Museum in London in the 1960s. A powerful war horse in history.
