Became famous while owned by William Fleming of Belmont, TX. He is referred to as Old Billy to distinguish him from the many other horses by the same name. He was sometimes called Billy Boy, or Billy Fleming. Some of his best known get include Anthony, Whalebone, Billy Dibrell, Alex Gardner, Little John Moore, and McCoy Billy. Died 1886.
