Sired by The Sham, a grey shire, sired by The White Horse, all bred by Henry Connors. Out of a UK foundation mare. Old Henry Horse is sire of the Young Henry Horse. From **Hidden Ponds GypsyVanners and Cobs **series Horses in History: "Old Henry, by most accounts, spent his life in Ireland, and was born around 1970. He was the son of The Sham Horse, a grey (or possibly black blagdon --- no photos are known to exist) shire and was bred by Henry Connors. Henry Connor was a prominent breeder of cobs at the time. Old Henry was sometimes called after his breeder, Henry Connor. In the literature I've found, there is a lot of confusion around whether he was also known as The Palace Horse and Henry Connor's White Horse, and I haven't found a clear answer on this; however, in a recording that was done interviewing Henry Connors years ago, he does mention both Old Henry as well as Henry Connor's White Horse, so that leads me to believe that they are probably different horses. Unfortunately, I have only seen fragments of a transcript and do not have the original recording, which was done by Deidre Cash some years back. Old Henry was the sire of Young Henry, The PO Mare, The Wexford Stallion, The Laughing Horse, The Coal Horse, and Tom Dooley's Black Horse. The Lob Eared Horse is said in some accounts to be by Henry Connor's White Horse (and others by The Sham Horse), meaning he could possibly be the sire of The Lob, also. Regardless, he has found his place in the history of the breed, being an influential foundation sire who has definitely left his mark." Owner: paddy conors Breeder: Henry Connors
