AKA DeLancy`s Bashaw Foaled 1768, New York. Breeder: James DeLancy. Won the Macaroni Hundred, 1772 (while lame), and a Fifty Guineas, weight for age, 1774, at Newmarket Race course on Long Island. Sold by James Delancey, stood at stud in Long Island, was captured by the British and used as a troop horse. After the war he stood again in NJ in 1783 and then VA. He sired the dam of Rosette (f. 17--). Son of DeLancy`s imported Wildair; his dam was DeLancy`s imported Cub mare, 1762.
