CANTERBURY PILGRIM ch. M, THOROUGHBRED, 1893
| Color: ch
(GB)
Canterbury Pilgrim was bred in England by the Duchess of Montrose, foaled in 1893 at her breeder's Sefton Stud, Newmarket. As one of the first purchases made for the new Derby stud, Canterbury Pilgrim was also one of the most astute. A classic winner in her own right, she produced the sire sons Chaucer and Swynford, an accomplishment which made her one of the most influential horses, stallion or mare, of the Twentieth Century. Died 1917
