Won: Gimcrack Stakes, Liverpool Summer Cup Winner of eight races, he was well fancied for the Royal Hunt Cup as a 3yo, but ran badly at the meeting, as did most of George Lambton's stable which was developing Pink Eye. Chaucer was one of the few to recover his form and at age 6 he won the Liverpool Summer Cup. Bred and owned by Lord Derby. Exported to France. Chaucer was small, like his dam, but was an elegant colt with near-perfect conformation. Twice the Leading Broodmare Sire. Died February 4, 1926 DE 306/06/41211/00
