DODSWORTHS DAM . M, BARB, 1665
| Dodsworth's Dam
Mr Prior notes that Barb mares that were actually imported, and are the earliest known of their respective families, are the dam of Dodsworth, who was foaled about 1670, Lord Arlington's mare, given by him to Mr Wilkinson of Boroughbridge, and Queen Anne's well-known Moonah Barb mare, who was got 'by a Barb in that country,' and 'brought over in the same mannr as The Royal African' (ie, in utero) to Hampton Court, as attested by Mr Marshall, the King's (William III ) stud-master [Royal Stud:76].https://www.bloodlines.net/TB/Families/Family32.htm
