He was one of the first two horses inducted into the ApHC Hall of Fame 1986 and was a 7 time National Champion. Apache was named by The Horse Digest as 1 of the top 100 race horses of all time, in any breed. He smoked down the track like a brush fire and could run on mud or dirt. He won 16 of 19 race starts. After racing he was brought into the performance arena and won either a Champion or Reserve Champion Performance Horse title in each of the five National Shows
