Reference 1991, The Arabian Horse Families of Poland 1790-1987 By Britta Fahlgren Krzyzyk OA purchased 1876 by Count Dzieduszycki (Jarczowce & Jablonow Studs, Poland) from Safer Pasha in Constantinople (Istanbul, Turkey)Sire at Jarczowce of: mare Dagmara 1886 (x Dagmara~1871)Krzyzk I 1886 (x Zulejma II~1876at Jablonow of: mare Thuja 1887 (x Camelia 1880)at unnamed stud of: stallion Kalif~1879 (x Gazella I 1959) Wladislaw Koscielski, a Polish emigré who became a general in the Turkish army acquired the title of Sefer/Safer Pasha. Borowiak says that he became a friend of Count Alexander Branici (Bialocerkiew Stud, Poland) after the expedition of 1858. Raswan attributes to him the sale of 25 Arab horses to Poland between 1860-1880.
