Pyramid Society Straight Egyptian Sheykh Obeyd Foundation Foaled in 1872 Strain: Saqlawiyah Jidraniyah Bred by Barghi Ibn Dirri of al-Masaribah (of) al-Gumassah (of) al-Saba Her name was Hujaylah. (See Daughters of the Wind web site: Translation of the hujjah (Arabic authenticity certificate) of the desert-bred mare Meshura by Edouard al-Dahdah). Purchased in 1877 by Ali Pasha Sherif in the vicinity of Dayr Hafir, Syria, on the Euphrates River for 44 camels, 100 gold pounds and other presents worth equally as much. Purchased in 1881 by Wilfrid and Lady Anne Blunt in Aleppo, Syria, and imported in that year to their Crabbet Arabian Stud in Sussex, England. Dam of 10 purebred registered Arabian foals in England
