AKA Young Nancy Taylor - yes; Bred by William H. Pope of Kentucky, yes; THIS PEDIGREE IS NOT RIGHT!!! Story and long discussion in: American Morgan Horse Register, 1894, Vol.1, p.281/288 (Pilot Jr.); Wallace's ASB, 1867, Vol.1, p.995 (PILOT JR, Alexander's) says: NANCY POPE [*1825 or 1826] by HAVOC (WASB 1118). But this HAVOC was born 1826 by SIR CHARLES o.o. POWANCEY/Powancy! (p.190/191); Another HAVOC (Funk's) not listed; NANCY TAYLOR *1806 (XX) by SPREAD EAGLE had never a filly by him. See Bruce's ASB, 1873, Vol.2 (M-Z), p.138 (NANCY TAYLOR);
Axel von Chapeaugouge's book: Traber-Hengst-Register und Stutenlinien, 1928 by Persiehl/Hamburg, p.454 (NANCY POPE) says: unknown sire, dam NANCY TAYLOR, pedigree unknown, p.297 (PILOT JR. 12), says: maternal ancestry quite uncertain.
No NANCY POPE or Young Nancy Taylor in American Stud Book (XX/TB);
