It is consistent with material from Archer, et al [1978, p96] and Upton [1980, p80], both said to be based on access to records of the Blunts, who also called the mare Jasmine and Lady Hester. According to both references, Dajania was purchased at Aleppo on December 25 1877, through Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad of the Hannadi, a member of the tribe which had stolen the mare from Muhammad Pasha.Raswan Index entry 1853
