Dark bay, 16h 11, T2:23 1/2 Bred by H. F. Sickles, of Monmouth Co., NJ, for Mr. Richard F. Cannon of NY, the owner of his dam, and named after the owner of his sire. Beat Ethan Allen, 1860, in 2.25-2.24-2.29. Trotted 1857-63; won 20 races. Died May 1864 suddenly. Sired from (3ys of age) 1852-1858 in the stud, only in October 1857 did he come to the racetrack in Newton. In the years 1861/62 he sired again, before he returned to the racetrack in 1863 Sired 4 trotters of record, 15 producing sons and 4 producing daugthers.
