Oldenburg was bred in Germany and was named Imperial so was a registered Oldenburg, he is by Inshallah. He stood at stud in Germany at Georg Vorwerk\\\\\\\'s stud in Cappelin, Germany after he passed his German performance as a 3yr old finishing top of his class. In 1979 Oldenburg was bought by Jan Brouwer in Holland he was 6yrs old and had to go through the selection process again to be registered with the Dutch Studbook, where he also topped the class.
He was registered with the German Oldenburg studbook as IMPERIAL. Oldenburg (AKA Impy) competed in eventing and showjumping finishing as a grade A jumper. He left many very good horses such as: Zucarlos competed at the olympics for Canada in showjumping. Bantus evented in the German team at Stockholm at the world games. He had sons a stud in Holland. A daughter was grandchampion at Washington breedshow and reserve champion of USA.
Impy has become a top sire of broodmares in Holland and now grandchildren are competing at the highest level. Impy had a super temperament and was lovely to ride and exciting to jump even if he was old when he came, he was so elastic.
Oldenburg progeny are top performers with Class and Precision.
