Bred by Ibn Zabyan of the Qumusa-Saba Bedouins 1906 purported to have bred more than 200 mares before leaving Syria 8-8-1906 HALEB was a gift from Nazim Pasha, Governor of Aleppo, to Homer Davenport who shipped him 8-28-1906 from Alexandria, Egypt 10-18-1906 arrived in New York and was taken by Davenport to Morris Plains, New Jersey 6-17-1907 won first prize in the JUSTIN MORGAN class at Rutland, Virginia, beating all Morgan entries. He was bred to several of the top Morgan mares HALEB was the sire of 10 registered purebred Arabian foals 11-10-1909 poisoned
