Troubadour was approved at Neumünster in 1975, after which he stood at the Klosterhof Medingen until May of 1978 when he was imported the US by Edith Kosterka. He had a very successful dressage career and in 1988 he was the reserve horse for the Swiss Dressage Team at the Seoul Olympics. He stood at Ms. Kosterka's Trakehner Gestüt Wayne until her death in late 1995. Troubadour along with several other special Trakehners were left in the care of the University of Illinois School of Veterinary Medicine. Comments from German Trakehner Stallion Book: Significant in his appearance, covering much ground, good and expressive in head and overall frame; good muscling. The hocks are strong, could be a bit broader in their connection. Full of energy and ground covering in all gaits.
