This horse is represented to have been of the pure Arabian blood. He was purchased by Mr. Geo. Barclay in London from Hassana DGris, Tripolitan Minister to the Court of St. James, and brought to New York, whence he was transferred to a company at Nashville,
Tenn., at a cost of $8,000, and carried to that place in 1823--Wallaces American Stud-Book , vI, p48.
