Bob Wade, a gelding, was reg. with the Jockey Club for racing purposes. Occasionally one finds a pedigree showing a horse sired by Bob Wade. This Bob Wade was never bred, but ran short races all over the west and had few rivals on the straightaway. GOODWINS TURF GUIDE covers his races in 1890-94. There were several stallions named Bob Wade, after this famous Quarter Miler. INFO FROM: FOUNDATION SIRES OF THE AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE by Robert M. Denhardt, Pg. 65.
