mounted patrol
Chief’s Spotted Bubbles, also known as Yankee, is a registered, blue-papered Missouri Fox Trotter who has had extensive training. She has a kind eye and a beautiful, refined head with a very long, thick mane and tail. Yankee is a big, muscular horse who has a quiet temperament and a lovely, smooth gait. We have owned her since she was 18 months old, and she has been trained slowly and well. She is responsive to very slight cues, either leg or verbal, and has an excellent “whoa”. She is wonderful on trails, and has been ridden extensively alone, although she gets along well with other horses. She has passed level one of Mounted Police Patrol certification, and is comfortable with dogs, cars and machinery, bicycles, strollers, balloons, flashing lights, sirens, etc. She is road trained, and easily crosses wooden and metal bridges, as well as rivers. Yankee is comfortable breaking trail, steps (does not jump) over trail obstacles, backs easily, and has started sidepassing. She is not spooky, and has been taught to stand and investigate strange objects. She stands for mounting, and loads and travels well. Yankee is suitable for riders of almost any age or skill level. She is also an excellent broodmare, and has produced four black and white or tri-color foals, so she may be homozygous.
