Concetto displays all the characteristics that his ancestry has endowed him with: fascinating jumping skill, with great capacity and rarely experienced leg technique and manner of jumping. His basic gaits are moreover of the finest quality. His sire, Contender, the 1987 Adelheidsdorf stallion performance test winner, has developed into an exceptional hereditary transmitter and is one of the most sought after stallions in Germany. The dam, Puszta-Lany xx, has been trained up to intermediate class dressage. She derives from the famous Thoroughbred family of the mare Postenkette xx with the figureheads Pindar xx, who was so effective in federal Trakehner breeding, Parenzo xx and Playmate xx (both Warendorf state stallions) as well as the Vornholz stallion Pernod xx, who had international dressage successes with Willi Schultheiß following his career as a race horse and prior to his utilisation as a stud horse. Concetto’s Stallion Performance Test results were way above average. His first crop of foals impressed by their modern type and dark coats. In the year 2000, Concetto\'s high rideability and spectacular jumping enabled him to complete his first showjumping test with the score of 9.0 points and furthermore let him win showjumping classes at the novice and elementary levels. He moreover scored a win at the international stallion championship in Denekamp/Holland with the score of 9.0.
