Crescent Goldust 27037, by Billy Boy Crescent, considered in his day to be one of the fifteen most beautiful stallions of the breed, was another Morrissey-bred golden sorrel with a white mane and tail. Goldust achieved notoriety in the 1958 Lowrey dispersal, described in the following excerpt: \\\\Goldust, subject of major competition in several sources, was at $60,000-a new world\\\\\\\'s record for a Shetland-when Col. Bill Porter dropped the hammer after an hour and fifteen minutes of bidding. The new owners were a combine-E.C. Adams, Sr., and E.G. Adams, Jr., representing the Adams Dairy Company of Kansas City and St. Louis; L.L. Mallett and Glenn Speakman, both of Kansas City and Greenwood, Missouri.
