A whole host of horse monuments exist, the history of art is full of them. Yet even today, there are still sculptors casting statues in bronze. Statues of horses, with the difference to the past however that our hero has changed. No longer is it some ruler, general or adventurer who is the model, instead, the horse itself is reason enough for the statue. The horse is a monument. A living legend\\\'s Donnerhall.
Eurodressage posed the question which sire is the most successful dressage Sire, producing the most offspring which compete at international Grand Prix Level. The absolute record holder is Donnerhall, who has fifteen get in the show ring. Donnerhall himself won team gold at the 1998 World Equestrian Games and placed individually fourth.
There are more than 250 progeny performing successfully in competition sport in Germany alone, apart from those in other countries. Donnerhall is without a doubt the most important contemporary dressage stallion. It also goes without saying that he is a foundation sire: one that will still be talked about with respect even in the year 2050. Irrespective of which direction riding horse breeding will develop to, the world will always need a stallion like Donnerhall.
