HAMRAH C, ARABIAN, 1904
| Color: b
AHR #28; BAHC #68
Desert bred in Syria, by Ibn Badan el Awagi of the Anazeh. Sired by a Hamdani-Simri, and out of *Urfah #40. Imported from Syria to United States of America in 1906 by Homer Davenport, Morris Plains, New Jersey. Sire of fifty-three registered purebred Arabian foals.
*Hamrah was considered one of the best of the importation by Davenport. He was a beautiful golden bay of immense power and fine action. Without any preparation and never before having run at top speed, when only three in an impromptu mile-race, he ran the last quarter in 29 seconds. Many who saw him preferred him to any of the importations
