Bred by Jidan Ibn Mhayd of the Fidan Bedouins - Syria 1878 sent to the Turkish governor of Syria 1878 Turkish governor presented him to Sultan 'Abdul Hamid II of Turkey with his pedigree showing strains of sire and dam 3-1878 LEOPARD was presented to General U.S. Grant along with the Barb stallion LINDEN TREE 5-31-1879 both arrived from Turkey in New Haven, Connecticut on the steamer Norman Monarch Delivered to J.K. Levitt in Pennsylvania who exhibited them summer and fall until delivered to General E. F. Beale, Washington, D.C., for account of General U.S. Grant 1880-1883 Randolph Huntington, a trotting horse breeder, used both for his Clay mares 1883 registered to J. B. Houston, New York, New York. 1883 & 84 shown at the New York Horse Show.
LEOPARD placed 1st and LINDEN TREE 2nd at both 5-10-1890 LEOPARD'S only purebred registered Arabian, ANAZEH was foaled. Bred by Huntington
