I was never a Lippitt kind of guy, but there's no comment on this particular stallion on this site, and that doesn't seem right to me. When you look at the 1950s issues of THE MORGAN HORSE (which are available free online), time and again you see photos of this stallion and his owner Warren Patriquin doing impressive things on the streets of Boston. For example, not for the first time, I just came across a picture of Lippitt Victory standing quietly on a crowded Boston street while Mr. Patriquin is standing erect on his back taking a photo of a troop of mounted policemen leading a big parade right at them. Talk about bomb-proof! Lippitt or not, what horse-rider trust! You can see the photo for yourself on page 42 of the February 1951 issue of THE Morgan Horse. (Just Google February 1951 The Morgan Horse. Then, scroll down the stuff which comes up until you find that issue mentioned. Click on that and scroll down in that issue to page 42.) BTW, it seems Mr. P. was a well known newspaper photographer in Boston for many years. R. Manley, 5/12/20
