probably was never active in trotting; owned in 1872 by Colonel R. West, Edge Hill, Georgetown, Kentucky; was sold at an auction in June 1872 to Mr. J. Davis for $270; At this auction also was sold 5 ALMONT-fillies, *1869 (sadly nameless and no dams, none were purchased by the Gano family); later dam in the stud of John A. Gano & Sons, Rural Glen Farm, near Centreville, Kentucky; was sold July 21, 1874 at an auction in this stud to Mr. J. Scott, Paris, Kentucky for $85; John A. Gano aka Veteran breeder, also breeder of cows; Wallace's Monthly 1892, p.233 (BISMONT 8564), correction/more information about 3rd and 4rd dam, but this is doubtful...I didn't transfer that. Does not undoubtedly fit from the years of life of the horses )
