Bred by John Tayloe in VA, foaled ~1758.
Some accounts called him imported, but they probably confused him with his sire. There is no absolute proof that this Traveler is the sire of True Briton, but this is probably the correct Traveler, as he was the only one that Col. De Lancey bred mares to.
Was given as a colt to Mr. Lloyd, of MD, who owned him till his death.
