Breeder: Dr. L. Herr, KY. Foaled 1872, Forest Park, Lexington, KY. Owned in 1882 by C. J. Hamlin, Village Farm, East Aurora; Erie County, NY. He bought him (for $10,000) because of extraordinary beauty; he was never trained, he earned his fame exclusively as a breeding stallion; the most beautiful stallion in the world, in beauty contests he received many first prizes.
