According to the AMERICAN STUD BOOK (Vol.II, pg.566), Printer was stated to be by *Janus, but actually he was by a son of *Janus, Fleetwood. Printer was the most influential horse affecting the Quarter Horse breed after Sir Archy.
He died in 1828
He was foaled in Virginia, taken to Pennsylvania, & later died in Fairfax County, Ohio
