The French annual book of sport horse breeding identified Sir Ivor as the TB sire with the greatest influence on the international show jumping scene worldwide. The favorite mount of jockey Lester Piggot. In retirement, Sir Ivor could (and did) flip his tongue over for a treat from his groom, a trick that he often demonstrated for visitors.
