Skagit Alki finished 21st in the 1962 Tevis Cup, a.k.a. The Western States Trail Ride (100 miles one day). He was ridden by E.C. Hutton from Nevada. It's believed that Skagit Alki was owned by Pat Fitzgerald who is in the Tevis and AERC Halls of Fame. Pat and his horse Ken finished first in the 1962 and 1963 Tevis rides, and Pat and Quist finished second, to his wife Donna Fitzgerald on the incomparable Witezarif, in the 1970 Tevis Cup ride.
