Winner of 22 races, 3 dead heats, and lost 2. Quote from FLYING BOB article (QHJ Nov 1951) reads: At one time (Noah) Zeringue owned a little race mare named BELLE Z who had a fox trot saddle gait. Her grandsire was OLD DEWEY (from LA), her dam was Rosa by Basile, QH. Because of her peculiar gait, many horseman did not feel she could run. Zeringue had to convince them. When John Dial of Goliad, was taking Chicaro (TB) to Texas, he spent the night in Abbeville, (LA) and Chicaro was bred to Belle. Flying Bob was the resulting foal in 1929.
