ZEUS an Anglo-Norman, with 82% Anglo-Arabian blood, passed away in the Fall of 2001.
He had been standing at the prestigious GestÜt Vorwerk in Germany. As a 9-time champion of his age group, and with the earnings of his offspring totaling almost 4 million DM, in Germany alone, Zeus is known as one of the best producers of jumpers the world has ever seen. At the 1991 Fall Vechta Auction his get, Zeno, drew 170,000 DM.. In the 1992 Oldenburg stallion approval he sired the first and second Reserve Champions. Zeus has presented numerous top international competetion horses. In 1993 at the German Championships in Mannheim, Zerberus, ridden by Ludger Beerbaum, became the champion of 5-year old jumpers. In 1994 at the Vechta Auction Zino, was the top foal and went for 60,000 DM. In the 1995 World Cup finals there were 6 Zeus offspring participating. The most successful Zeus offspring in Germany in 1997 was Zypria, ridden by Dirk Hauser. In 1998, Zeus was the sire of the highest priced horse at the auction in Zangersheide.
Zeus has been approved by the following registries; Oldenburg, Hanover, Westphalia, Rhineland, Hesse, Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
