Ben Dabout was extremely fast. He was owned by the Roberts' Monticello Drug Company and used as a cow pony and stud at Low Grant Ranch in Oak Hill Fla. At the age of 12, and ridden by a kid, Clifford (Ghee) McGhee, Ben beat over 40 cowponies including a known unbeaten race horse named Peanuts in a 1/4 mile beach race at Kissimee Fla. Ben was firey and threw his dark copper red color, blaze, size, and correct conformation on his many offspring. Sire of seven registered pure Arabian foals, five fillies and two colts.
